Gas and Electric Fires

Flueless wall mounted Gas Fires

Wall mounted flueless gas fires are perfect for today's modern living. They are designed specifically to be installed in all types of homes; from houses, flats to city apartments, where the warmth and focal point of a fire is required but there is no chimney or flue present.

We have an excellent range of wall mounted flueless gas fires and electric fires available which you can enjoy even if you don't have a chimney or flue. One of the best things about wall mounted fires is that you can install them in virtually any room. There is no heat lost up the chimney as all of the heat produced goes into warming up the room. They are 100% efficient meaning they are a lot cheaper to run than conventional open fronted gas fires.

Wall mounted fires technology

Flueless fires work using Pure Heat catalytic technology and therefore all of the heat generated by these fires enters your room. Subsequently, neither a chimney nor flue is required.

Flueless fires not only bring you the benefit of reduced gas bills, but also the added convenience that they can be either installed into an existing fireplace surround or simply hung on the wall using just four screws. With the wall mounted option no building work is required and the fire can be installed in almost any room.

The catalytic technology cleans the hot air leaving the combustion chamber, converting Carbon Monoxide into harmless Carbon Dioxide. It works so effectively that it can also assist in neutralising unwanted airborne particles and allergens present in the home, helping to create a cleaner and friendlier environment.

The fire must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Flueless fires are not permitted in the bathroom.

Fact: A flueless gas fire can SAVE you up to 70% off your gas heating bill A flueless gas fire converts 100% of the gas to heat unlike open coal effect fires which convert as little as 10%. Typically running costs for a 2.0kW input/output flueless gas fire is approx 14.4p per hour on high. A 6.8kW conventional open fronted gas fire with comparable 2.0kW output can cost as much as 48.9p per hour on high. By replacing your standard open fronted gas fire with a 100% efficient flueless gas fire it is possible to save up to 70% off your future gas bills.

Flueless inset Gas Fires

We can supply fires of all kinds of styles and quality, you can choose your inset gas fire to match the style of your home as well as cater to its practical requirements. For example, you can have a flueless gas fire that is inset, or an inset fire that works with a conventional chimney, flue or powaflue - depending on your particular needs.

The inset fires available can be either glass fronted or open – again, depending on your individual needs. The energy efficient gas fires are glass fronted, flueless gas fires.

Why a flueless inset gas fire is right for you Flueless inset gas fires only require a natural gas supply and the ability to run an 8mm gas pipe to the fire installation point. This means they can be installed in pretty much every room except your bathroom. All you have to do is make sure your room meets the minimum size requirements.

How do flueless gas fires work?

Instead of the gases from your fire passing through a flue or chimney, these combustion gases pass through what is called a catalytic converter which is situated on the top of your fire. This changes carbon monoxide gases into harmless carbon dioxide and water vapour. Your catalytic converter will also work to purify your air in other ways - meaning it can help with household allergies.
